Transocean lands seven-year, $1 billion Equinor rig deal

Transocean has secured a drilling agreement with Equinor worth more than $1 billion in backlog for three harsh-environment Cat D semisubmersible rigs on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The seven rig-years of work are scheduled to begin between 2027 and 2028.
